I had an amazing time at Essence Arenal Spa & Yoga in Costa Rica. My stay was for a week and it was the perfect getaway. The small house I stayed in had an incredible view of the Arenal volcano, and waking up to the sunrise was pure magic. The eco-sustainability of the property was impressive, with mosquito nets on all windows and doors. The small pool was a refreshing spot to relax on sunny days. The vegetarian food at the local restaurant was delicious, and the trails around the property offered great opportunities for birdwatching. The tranquil farm atmosphere was a bonus.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with great views of the surrounding area. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local attractions. The hotel offered Yoga classes, which was a great way to relax and unwind during my stay.
The walls in the rooms were very thin, making it easy to hear conversations and noise from neighboring rooms. The road leading to the hotel was quite bumpy and required a 4x4 vehicle to navigate it comfortably.

I had such a wonderful stay at Essence Arenal Spa & Yoga. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The location is stunning, surrounded by the lush rainforest and with breathtaking views of the Arenal volcano. The yoga classes in the morning were a perfect way to start the day, and the breakfast that followed was absolutely delicious. The highlight of my stay was the meditation walk through the forest, it was such a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. The only drawback was that the pool was closed, but that didn't dampen my overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a serene retreat in nature. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always answering any questions and accommodating any requests we had. They made sure we had transportation when needed and were able to arrange activities for us. the location was stunning, situated on top of a mountain with beautiful hiking trails. the food at the hotel was delicious, and there was no need to leave the property as everything we needed was right there. - the communal atmosphere was wonderful, and we had the opportunity to meet and connect with people from all over the world. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature during our Christmas vacation.
The hot water in the showers was not always consistent, and it would have been better if there was a shower curtain in the bathroom. The road leading to the hotel was a bit rough, but it was definitely worth it for the breathtaking view of Arenal.
